Unique times but here to support! (First Responders)
In times like these, heroes need to know they are loved and respected
The world currently needs positivity. The scourge of COVID-19 in the economy has obviously caused serious damage, but what about the other damage caused? From COVID, we as a people have chosen to either lock ourselves away or make statements about our personal thoughts on the illness. However, there are sme who are still in the thick of it, facing dangerous situations every day alongside COVID.
First responders in particular have been in the field throughout COVID, constantly at risk of catching it or transmitting it to their loved ones. This comes alongside the dangers of their jobs, such as police or firefighters. Hospital workers also have been facing more danger than normal, constantly working with ill and dying patients in emergency situations.
We took it upon ourselves to help show our appreciation, even if only in a minor way currently. Back in May, we travelled to different first responder groups throughout Maryland to show our gratitude and appreciation. As part of our efforts to show our appreciation, we donated flowers to first responders. Focusing heavily on fire and rescue teams, we set to work to show our love.
We love our first responders, and we want to make sure they know how much they mean. To us, first responders are true heroes among others during this pandemic, and we must make sure they are respected. Thank you to everyone risking their lives, even more so than ever before.
